Italiano`s Pizza in Salem

I don't know if they have changed owners or not. But I was HIGHLY disappointed. We had always made an effort to go out of our way to go here. Not any more! We were brought menus and asked what we wanted to drink. The order person disappeared and we sat for 10 minutes...no one took our order or advised us of any problem. Another 5 minutes goes by and we see outside the window...one of their people coming back from the grocery store! You didn't have any soda in stock? Why didn't you let us know? We could have made a substitution or at least we would have known that we would have to wait a bit! No communication what so ever. So we left. We will NOT be going back. 👎

This place has a lot of potential, though the inside does not look pretty but any business owner must start somewhere. The pizza here is fantastic, the sauce they use is all natural, the mozzarella sticks are amazing.

My wife and I wanted something different so we stopped to get a calzone and a Greek salad it was large enough for 2 meals each.

My first time going to Italianos because my significant other recommended we go. Great food! I had a small calzone and it was huge! Great service! Very friendly man who served us today. They even gave us free garlic bites for no reason 😁I had a pleasant time. I'd reccomend italianos!

Fresh salad, yummy pizza. Service is not like in a famous restaurant, but staff is helpful and friendly. Very quiet place. Food is better than in more similar places. If I have to choose food or atmosphere, I will go there again because of food.

Ordered the breaded chicken wings and fettuccine alfredo for delivery the fettuccine Alfredo on the menu says that it is cooked with a broccoli cheese sauce there is not a scrap of broccoli in this it has less flavor than a bottle of Prego the chicken wings were supposed to come with ranch got no dipping sauce or anything else when I called them and told them I was missing the hot sauce and ranch for my chicken wings I was told to be 45 minutes before they bring it out I pray their Pizza is better than their pasta otherwise I don't understand how they stay open

My husband and I have eaten at Italiano’s for years, it never disappoints! The food is always fresh and made to order.

Not friendly. We were the only people in the restaurant and after 50 minutes of not having food or even being checked on we got up to leave as they were bringing our food out. It's a very dingy restaurant and the food was ok.

Small Cal zone is big enough for 2 people. Awesome place to eat.

What a fantastic find! Everything was amazing! Calzones were the best. The kids had pizza rolls and they loved them! This place is highly recommended!

Ok, so maybe the inside is not the most attractive display I have seen. But...I have had a chance to meet these people. I have asked them “how are you doing?” and develop a relationship. So... Excluding the human experience, I have found that they consistently produce pizza and calzones that are amazing! They use real ingredients that sometimes might not be exactly what is advertised. They have been around for 15 years, that alone impressed me. I wish I had a picture. But I do not.

Italiano's has what is easily the best cheese steak in the Roanoke Valley. Grab one with double meat if you really want a filling sandwich. The owners are very kind and welcoming. This restaurant also offers delivery, so it's perfect if you work nearby and crave a great lunch without having the time to get away.

Ok place to eat. The hoagies use to be a lot better but have declined in quality over the years.

Wow! finally picked the right italian restaurant. This place is not much to look at from the out side or inside, but it is clean and the food is awesome, haven't found this quality or price since i was in Cleveland Ohio 25 years ago. This restaurant is truly amazing. try the calzone. We will be back again.We will drive out of the way to eat here again. Salem, VA is blessed to have this kind of quality restaurant. Wish we had one just like it in JC, TN.

Chicken on the buffalo chicken pizza was not good otherwise the pizza was ok

Extremely disappointing. The pizza wasn't half bad, but delivery time took over an hour and a half though we live 15 minutes away. Could not eat my Italian Sub. Ingredients on the sub were not as advertised either (not salami, it was a spongey, bottom-of-the-barrel Lebanese Bologna). Barely any toppings. Cost around $9. Would never recommend.

Delicious pizza, service was quick and the man at the counter was friendly.

The cheeseteak is pretty good, but I think they can put a little more meat in it not from a greedy perspective but from a cheeseteak specialist more meat for consumers would defintely help in their sales not even that much more meat all hanging out the sub roll but just simply some more meat. Overall pretty good cheesteak.

The service and food are both top notch! I had the stromboli and it was wonderful! If you are wanting great Italian food that is also at great prices, you have to try Italianos!

We got what we ordered and the pepperoni pizza was delicious with no skimping on the sauce and what we needed after a busy day on the road. It was delivered piping hot and with a fresh garden salad it went down a treat.

Do NOT order the Italian Sub. Included two little pieces of "ham" and rather than salami, was served 2 little pieces of sponge-like Lebanese Bologna. Cheese expected was supposed to be provolone and instead got White American. Barely any lettuce. Underrripe tomatoes. And one sub didn't even have any onions! Was literally just a big hunk of bread with a few small, disappointing toppings... This, everyone, is NOT an Italian Sub. And not to forget that we waited an hour and a half for delivery! The only good part of our order was the cheese pizza. Would definitely only go back for the pizza.

Pizza was fresh - perfect flavoring! Service was over and above! Not much to look at, but don't hesitate to go and enjoy! My husband and I will be passing through several more times and this is going to be the place to stop :-)

Water is not free...there were spiders in my silver wear and tucks asked for mustard and got tziki sauce

A little hole-in-the-wall place that serves mostly Italian dishes. They do a big pick-up business. The prices are VERY REASONABLE. Food is pretty good, not quite up to Mamma Maria's nearby but MUCH less expensive. Restaurant is beside Food Lion, just past the Dairy Queen on right on Wildwood Road if you are coming from West Main Street / Rtes 11/460.

For some reason my husband keeps getting from here and it's gross. The food is not made with quality, fresh ingredients with makes it a pain to eat.

The food is amazing. You'll definitely get your money's worth with the hearty portions they serve. Try one of their steak sandwiches.

Very friendly, good food, great price. Might be a little on the slow side, but I never go in if I'm in a hurry, and I've never been disappointed I went. In my opinion, a much better option for nicely priced Italian than Mama Maria's.

So nice to have delivery after a long day on the road . pizza arrived at the campground hot and was good. Delivery in time promised by a pleasant young man.

No one but me and my fiancé in the restaurant. Manager setting in computer chair watching tv and playing on his phone not paying attention. We order food and garlic knots. We did not get the garlic knots, our food came out and mine wasn't even hot. Although manager was setting right there we never were asked if we were okay. My fiancé had never received a refill after his first glass of sweet tea and had to drink my water which we were charged 75 cents for tap water. This place stinks!!!

After a delivery with missing items and a $10 tip I think not. I am Italian maybe you should stick to what you know. Arabic food, your attempt at Italian is awful and embarrassing to say the least. If you would like to be sick after eating this poor excuse for Italian food eat this.

I almost turned around because it was so empty and it looked abandoned. I am glad I didn't because the pizza was very good and fairly priced.

Ordered wings and a salad. Arrived with no fork or utensils and the wings were gas station wings, gross..usually pretty good from this place, today they don't get a good review as I can't eat a salad with fingers.

Delicious veggie calzone. One small was enough for my husband and I.

I'm from Massachusetts and couldnt find a steak and cheese calzone that reminded me of back home buy i came here and bought one and man o man its really good. The breading is so tasty and they're not cheap with the size or meat. I would definitely recommend! Italians don't own the place but food is still good!!
